BQCmethod BQCmethod is a free web service to quality control surface-based global horizontal irradiance measurements at any European location, from 1983 to 2018. The service implements the Bias-based Quality Control (BQC), a new method tailored to detect low-magnitude measuring errors (shadows, soiling, snow, miscalibrations) that are not found with classical QC tests. For that, BQC uses three independent gridded data sets, incl. SARAH-2 and CLARA-A2, and tests if the differences between the test data set and the three independent data sets are within the expectations.
